A well known philanthropist and author, Rohini Nilekani has been a founder member of Pratham Books, and Chairperson of the Trust from 2004. Passionate about development issues, she is associated with a number of not- for-profit initiatives. She is also the Chairperson and founder of Arghyam, which promotes equity and sustainability in access to water.
Ms Suzanne Singh, Managing Trustee
Suzanne Singh has been associated with Pratham Books since its inception. A management graduate, she has over 12 years’ experience in advertising and marketing. She is actively involved in content development, strategic planning and guiding the communication team at Pratham Books.
Mr Ashok Kamath, Trustee
Actively involved in the strategic planning, analysis and expansion of Pratham Books, Ashok Kamath has guided the Trust in its efforts to reach out to millions of children. An alumnus of IIT, Mumbai, he was formerly the Managing Director of the Indian operation of Analog Devices. He opted to leave behind a successful career in the corporate sector and involve himself in the development sector. He is also Chairman of the Akshara Foundation.
Ms Rekha Menon, Trustee
Rekha Menon is the Executive Director, Geographic Services for India and ASEAN at Accenture and has been on the Board of Trustees since 2004. She is one of the founder members and has participated in the growth of the organization by providing regular strategic direction to all initiatives undertaken.
Ms Kanchan Banerjee, Trustee
A sociologist, trained in communications and teaching children with learning disabilities, Kanchan Banerjee works closely with children and librarians in understanding reading needs. She has also authored a few of our books. She is also Managing Trustee of the Akshara Foundation.
Prof M.S. Sriram, Trustee
Prof. M.S.Sriram is a Fellow from IIM, Ahmedabad whose current positions include Adjunct Professor, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Indore and Distinguished Fellow, Institute for Development of Research in Banking Technology. He is also an Independent Researcher and Consultant with interest inter alia, in microfinance, development finance and Rural Management Education. Advisory Board.
